Senior Portraits

Your session, Your way

Every session starts with a real conversation. Some high school senior students show up with a specific vision and a location already picked out — I’ll work with it and scout it ahead of time. Others want to collaborate, so I’ll bring ideas and we’ll figure it out together. And some just want me to lead, based on what we talked about beforehand. However your student wants to approach it, the session is planned, not improvised.

I work with many students from Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough, as well as students from Southborough, Shrewsbury, Westborough, and surrounding towns in Central and MetroWest Massachusetts.

How it Works

Step 1

Pre-Planning

We start with a real conversation.

We chat about your student’s vision for the shoot: their interests, hobbies, goals, and what they’re passionate about. Together we pick locations that are special to you or that will help bring the vision to life. Or, if you’d rather I take charge, I’ll suggest a location. I will also provide wardrobe styling recommendations.

Step 2

Photoshoot Day

Relaxed, guided, and fun.

We meet and walk to a few locations while I guide your student’s posing. Plenty of laughing and chatting helps everyone feel at ease. I show you images on the back of my camera as we go, so we can adjust in real time. I blend artificial and natural light to get the best light on you, whatever the weather is doing.

Step 3

Editing & Delivery

The best, most authentic you.

I carefully curate and retouch your images to showcase the best but authentic version of your senior. Within 2-3 weeks, often earlier, you’ll get a private online gallery to review. Then I deliver the final retouched images to an online site where you can download them.

“The final photos are ones we will treasure for a lifetime.”

Emma fully embraced the theme my daughter envisioned and brought it to life beautifully. Emma didn’t just capture one great shot, she captured many, using both the environment and her subject in such a natural and artistic way. She provided a wonderful selection of proofs for us to choose from, and the final photos are ones we will treasure for a lifetime.
Thank you, Emma, for your talent and care, you made the entire experience truly special!

“On par with the best professional photographers.”

Emma Fung is an exquisite photographer whose understanding of lighting, mood, and model placement is on par with the best professional photographers. She worked well with my lovely daughter, who can sometimes be shy, for her High School Senior Portraits. Emma is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her work.

“Her passion for her job showed through in every picture she took.”

Emma was amazing! Her eye for ‘just the right shot’ was perfect! Her talent for capturing a moment or a look is exquisite. She spent a lot of her time with my son Jacob and his senior portrait sitting. Her passion for her job showed through in every picture she took. I would highly recommend her work. Thank you so much Emma!!

Can I bring props to my senior photo session?

Yes! In fact, I highly encourage you to bring props that are sentimental to you or help tell your story. These may be your favorite book, jersey, hobby, musical instrument, sports equipment, and more.

Can I take a picture with my senior?

I love it when parents or siblings jump in for a picture with their senior! This is as much a celebration for the family as it is for the senior.

When are yearbook photos due?

Yearbook photo submission deadlines typically fall in October/November. The exact date varies by school year and vendor. The deadline this year for Algonquin Regional HS is November 10th. The best time to book senior photos is during the spring of junior year (April or May) to secure your preferred dates for a summer or early fall session. Fall weekends fill up quickly. So book early to avoid the stress of last-minute scheduling during a busy academic year.

What if the weather is not cooperating?

I monitor the forecast and will reach out in advance if weather looks like an issue. Sessions are rescheduled at no charge for weather.
